Kathie’s Zumba Gold classes are specifically designed for those who are looking for a lower impact Zumba Fitness workout. The movements are easy to follow, and are based on the same dance moves used in the original Zumba Fitness class, including Latin-based salsa moves and a variety of rhythms and simple dance moves from around the world.
They are suitable for active older adults, beginners, and people getting back into exercise. Everyone is encouraged to work at their own level, and you can increase or decrease the intensity of the exercise by making your movements bigger or smaller.
Kathie’s mixed ability Zumba classes are higher in intensity, but you still have the option to keep it lower impact by avoiding any jumping.
All classes have a fun and friendly atmosphere and are approximately 50 minutes long including a warm up and cool down. The movements focus on improving cardiovascular ability, strength and co-ordination.

Zumba Gold is a great way to make new friends and get fit at the same time. Kathie’s Zumba Gold classes are very social and meet up regularly for coffee mornings, lunches and other social events.

It’s advisable to wear exercise clothing such as leggings, tee shirt and fitness trainers. Also bring a bottle of water to keep you hydrated.
